
SmashBall is an introductory volleyball program for athletes ages 9–10 and 11–12, featuring eight dynamic sessions designed to teach fundamental skills and game concepts through modified equipment, small-sided games, and engaging drills. Players will develop serving, passing, setting, and attacking techniques while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for volleyball in a fun and supportive learning environment.

SmashBall for 9–10-year-olds uses lighter balls, lower nets, and smaller courts to help young athletes learn the game successfully. Kim is an Ontario Certified Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. She has taught students in Grades 2–6 and has also served as an IT Specialist, supporting teachers and students by integrating technology into meaningful classroom learning. Kim has also mentored future educators as an Associate Teacher for student-teachers from Potsdam and the University of Ottawa teacher education programs during their practicum placements. She is passionate about creating engaging, relevant learning experiences that connect to students’ lives, build confidence, and help each child see themselves as a capable learner!
