SportsCan Summer Gym Membership
We are excited to announce our new summer gym membership that will give you the ultimate sports experience. With our membership, you can enjoy playing pickleball, indoor and beach volleyball, crossnet, and spikeball. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, our facilities are perfect for all skill levels. Plus, our spacious courts will give you plenty of room to work up a sweat and have some fun with friends or family. In addition to these fantastic sports, you also have access to Sportscan’s summer badminton club daily registration at a special rate
This indoor program is scheduled to operate every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. This is a drop-in format with a pre-registration requirment. Participants will register ahead of time and select the sport they would like to participate in. This provides staff an opportunity to set up the courts for each sport. The indoor program features up to 8 pickleball courts and 2 volleyball courts, and the allocation of these courts will be based on the demand of that particular day.
Members will be given priority to choose their preferred playing hours between 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM. During this period, non-members are allowed to play only if they are accompanied by a member.
Membership Privillages:
- Full access to volleyball and pickleball courts on Tuesdays from 7:00 pm – 10:30 pm

- Privilege to book private court for a reduced cost

Indoor Volleyball and Pickleball @ Franco Cite Gym
Location: Franco Cite ES, 623 Smyth Rd, Ottawa

There are three types of volleyball levels at SportsCan:
Beginner: Played High School, play in recreational leagues or pick up. Understand that the game is played with three contacts but not important that it occurs on every rally. Enjoy playing and emphasis on having fun rather then the exact skill of the contacts.
Intermediate: Played High School, Club Level, or play in Top 1/2 of OCVL or similar league. Expect three contacts on most rallies with an aggressive attack attempted on third contact.
Advanced: Played Club Level, University, College, or play in Top 4 tiers of OCVL or Similar Adult League
Our pickleball drop-in is a great opportunity to get some exercise, socialize, and have fun. We will be playing doubles, so grab a partner or come solo and we’ll pair you up. Get ready to show off your skills and enjoy a great game of pickleball!
Beach Volleyball & CROSSNET
Our beach volleyball program sets up event dates throughout the summer in various places in Ottawa. We provide all the necessary equipment for members to come and play. To participate, members can register in advance for the event date of their choice. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a fun game of beach volleyball in the beautiful Ottawa summer weather.
We offer beach volleyball equipment rentals so that you and your friends can enjoy a game on the beach. Our equipment is high-quality and easy to set up, making it the perfect addition to any beach day. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking for a fun activity, our rentals are a great way to make the most of your time at the beach.
CROSSNET takes the idea of the school game four square and combines the sport of volleyball into one. CROSSNET allows you to find your inner kid again and it’s a great game to play with friends and family.
Our crossnet program sets up event dates throughout the summer in various places in Ottawa. We provide all the necessary equipment for members to come and play. To participate, members can register in advance for the event date of their choice. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy a fun game of crossnet in the beautiful Ottawa summer weather.
We offer crossnet equipment rentals so that you and your friends can enjoy a game on the beach. Our equipment is high-quality and easy to set up, making it the perfect addition to any beach day. Beach Volleyball & CROSSNET Rentals
Celebrate someone’s birthday, organize your tournament, build your company’s employee morale. Choose whether you want to rent a beach volleyball net, CROSSNET, or both. We can even come set up and take down the net at an extra charge.

Please email us at info@sportscan.ca if you wish to inquire. In the email, please indicate whether you want to rent for a half day or full day, the type of net you are renting (beach volleyball or CROSSNET or both), the number of nets, delivery method, location if you wish to have the net(s) delivered to you, date of rental, the start and finish time of rental, and any extras.
Please allow up to 48 hours for one of our representatives to email you back.
Refund and Cancelation Policy
Refunds will only be given out if the host cancels up to 48 hours before their rental time.
